We bought an old, run-down house and had a month in which to make it habitable before we had to move in. We brought Craig in to do some carpentry restoration. His own work was excellent. Furthermore, we had many workers in the house at the same time and Craig took ownership, as he would say, of the project: he coordinated the work that was done; tactfully but firmly pointed out when things weren't being done well in a way that didn't seem to offend other workers, but did motivate them.

Craig was clear in his communication with us about timing and costs, and he showed up when he said he would or let us know if there would be a delay. In short he saved our lives. I recently worked with C.R. Hunt Building & Design on the complete refurbishment of a fraternity house at 2725 Channing Way Berkeley, CA. After interviewing several candidates, C.R. Hunt Building & Design was selected based on their experience and enthusiasm for the job. The house was a real mess but they looked through this and saw the problems as solvable challenges.

You always hear about horror stories of bad contractors. I have to admit that I was on my way to having a horror story of my own until I found C.R. Hunt Building & Design.
I was opening my first business and I took over a space that needed to be fully gutted. Basically, I needed to start from scratch. My space needed new electrical, plumbing, floors, walls, etc. Very shortly after the project began, I realized that everything was going wrong. My estimates were tripling, projects were not getting done on time, and there didn't seem to be a sense of control of my new space. I needed to change something fast, and luckily, I asked C.R.
